People who are not familiar with direct sales sometimes confuse it with a pyramid scam. First, every company structure resembles a pyramid shape, the money flows up naturally. In a pyramid "scheme", people are paid to bring-in others,  with no tangible product / servce provided, and the persons at the top make 60% (or more) of the revenue  generated. In direct sales, a successful company pays its members or associates commissions on the products actually soldA top associate can earn more than a top exec at the company. Donald Trump and Warren Buffet have both touted the financial advantages of network marketing. Avon, Mary Kay, Amway and Dish Network are all direct sales companies.

As an independent contractor, you are responsible for payment of your own taxes.  You will receive a 1099 tax form reporting your income from MCA (in January), to file with your tax return.

9. How do I go about marketing my MCA business?

Once you sign up as an MCA member on our TVC Marketing page, you will receive an email that contains all the information you’ll need to begin marketing your MCA business. Initially, a lot of your referrals can be obtained through social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Youtube & Craigslist are great resources, as well. You may also market offline with our brochures, flyers, business cards, door hangers, car magnets, etc. Your Roadside911 back office contains various MCA marketing materials, and your assigned sponsor will offer further support. We’ll also periodically have training meetings and seminars available to our MCA associates.

An active associate is someone who is enrolled in an MCA package starting at $9.95/m with an ongoing form of payment with an initial payment of $19.90 or more for the first and last month.
